Ready to make as IMPACT on Election Day?

In the 2000 presidential election, as many as six million votes were
lost due to a combination of voter registration problems, poor polling
practices, and ballot irregularities.

Volunteer with the Election Protection program and serve as a poll monitor
outside an at-risk polling site in Ohio on Election Day. Impact2004 will provide
transportation to Ohio the night before the election and back to Yale after the
polls close on Election Day. For those unable to travel, volunteers can help staff
the Election Protection national hotline in New York City on either Nov. 1 or 2.

To serve as a poll monitor or staff the hotline, you must attend a training
session. Please register before attending a training session by sending an email

with your name and email address to Christine Parker by October 11.
